Who should be involved in running our fundraiser?
Choose a fundraising organizer and help them succeed.
Every successful fundraiser depends on a strong team. Who do you need in your corner to run a great fundraiser?
The Organizer
The organizer is your fundraiser's point person. This person is in charge of planning the fundraiser and getting the entire group organized and ready to raise.
This is often the designated group leader, such as the head coach of a sports team. It can also be a parent volunteer or other responsible adult. What matters is that the organizer is excited about the event and is able to handle planning.
Organizers can have help from other parents, coaches, and volunteers. But we've found it best to have a single point person in charge of keeping things moving.
Participants
Participants are the people actually fundraising. Usually, they also benefit from it — like baseball team members raising money for travel or new equipment. Students, athletes, and team members can all participate in fundraising.
Supporters
Supporters are the people who provide funds to help you reach your fundraising goals. These could be family members, friends, neighbors, and others in the community. With digital fundraising, supporters can be anywhere!
All of these people help your fundraiser crush its goals!
