Launch day checklist: Everything to do before you go live

The steps you should take to launch and run your fundraiser.

It's fundraising time! What do you need to do when you're ready to start your fundraiser?

Final Checks Before You Launch

  • Your fundraiser page looks great: Your story, image, and goal are clear
  • Checkout works on both Tap to Pay and customer devices (test both)
  • Everyone on your team has the fundraiser link or QR code
  • Your launch-day post, email, or text is drafted and ready
  • Visuals, photos, or signage are prepped and accessible

Pro Tip: Use a shortened link (like Bitly) to make sharing easier on phones and social media.

Announce Your Fundraiser

  • Post to your team or group text thread with a clear, personal message
  • Send an email blast to family, friends, or school contacts
  • Share the fundraiser link on social media with a compelling caption or photo
  • Tag your school, organization, or key supporters if appropriate
  • Encourage team members to text or message 3–5 people directly
Easy to Miss: Public posts are great, but private messages (like texts or DMs) often drive the most support.

Get Your Team Moving

Ask every participant to:

  • Share once publicly (social post or group message)
  • Share once privately (text or direct message)
  • Log into Jamboree and check progress

Kick off a simple team challenge: “Who can bring in the first supporter today?”

Pro Tip: Don’t assume your team knows what to do — give them a clear, simple ask on Day 1.

Build Early Momentum

  • Monitor real-time activity in your Jamboree dashboard
  • Celebrate the first few sales in your group thread or team chat
  • Share a screenshot or quote from a supporter (with permission) to build excitement
  • Respond quickly to questions — especially about how to pay or what the fundraiser supports
Easy to Miss: Early recognition motivates others. Highlight small wins early and often.

Set Up the Next Step

  • Schedule your next message or update for 2–3 days after launch
  • Let your team know when they’ll hear from you again (This helps keep them engaged without overload)
  • Thank your helpers and early supporters — they helped you start strong!

Pro Tip: A strong launch is only the beginning. Keep your team engaged by planning a few light follow-ups in advance.

Follow these steps for a strong first day — and prepare your team for fundraising success!
